Competition Weekend Is Here!

Early crew headed to Milwaukee early this morning (in a blizzard on the first day of Spring!)  They will spend the day setting up the pit, updating the competition robot, and PRACTICING.

Here are details for friends and family to keep up on match times, match results, standings, plus webcast to watch the event!

  • The Blue Alliance offers one of the most comprehensive regional and team experiences. Visit their Wisconsin Regional page at http://www.thebluealliance.com/event/2014wimi, "watch now" button is at top right of page
  • Webcast is available directly at http://5nines.com/FRC - thanks to the Wisconsin Regional Planning Committee and Sargent Productions, 5Nines, and the Wisconsin Center District for making this happen. (Please note our team has no control over availability of the webcast.)
  • Our friends at FRCMega provide a way to receive real time updates on your cell phone. Visit https://frcmega.com/ to get started; after you sign up follow 1625 to get text alerts for upcoming match times, match results and competition details.
  • There are several ways to get updates via smartphone, FRC Spyder is one of the most popular options.  Available for Android and iOS in the respective app stores.
  • We'll be posting fun stuff to  Twitter (@frc1625) and Facebook on Friday and Saturday.
For those travelling to the event on Friday or Saturday, remember downtown Milwaukee will be hopping with NCAA basketball fans and FIRST Robotics geeks this weekend.  Parking will be tough to find and could be expensive.  Our friends on Hilltoppers FRC 1732 suggest parking at the Grande Avenue Mall.  And remember parking tickets in Milwaukee can be expensive too, or so I've heard!

Looking forward to a great weekend of robot fun!  Winno-Vation!
